Flashlight is an introspective game about prying desires.
The story and interaction is quite short and simple: you're told to use a flashlight and a camera in the darkness to find your targets and take a photo of them. You have to constantly move your light around in order to spot the running targets. Most of the time your photo is gonna be blurry. By the end of the game you'll be asked two questions. Perhaps these are questions you should answer form the beginning.
Flashlight is both the light you hold in hand and the flashlight on your camera. By weaponizing these tools, you are constantly stalking, prying on your target as well as exposing yourself in a dark world.
Through the experience, I want my audience to think and reflect: Is it satisfying to finally capture a good photo? How does it make you feel when looking at the hiding, escaping and scared targets? What’s driving you to the end, a desire to win, a desire to pry or the contempt for others?
