Released his new album So Close Yet So Far in 2018, folk singer Zhang Xi is on the road again after 17 years of music making. After listening to his demos, we both agreed that it would be a perfect match to use the texture of acrylic painting to highlight the authenticity and power behind his gentle and soothing voice.

Three acrylic paintings were created for three single covers: So Close Yet So Far, Demon in Casuals and Orange Dream. The brush strokes are also used in package design as textures.
